Obituary of Frederick "Sandy" Judson Gunter
Gunter, Frederick Judson “Sandy”- The death of Frederick “Sandy” Gunter of Saint John, NB, husband of June (Kelly) Gunter, occurred on Friday, April 11, 2008, on his 73 birthday, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB a son of the late Frederick and Margaret (Hamilton) Gunter. Sandy was self-employed, starting up his own business in 1973, Gunter Business Machines Ltd. Sandy enjoyed his time at his Molasses Hill Camp where he fished the Miramichi River for salmon. He loved animals especially his black labs. Survived by his wife, June; his son, Mark (Joanne) Gunter of Saint John, NB; his two grandchildren, Margaret (Maggie) and Katie Gunter; brother-in-law, Jack (Elaine) Kelly of Saint John, NB; sister-in-law, Annette (Ed) Oxley of Bangor Maine; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Grace Presbyterian Church ( formerly the Church of St. John and St. Stephen), Coburg Street, Saint John, on Monday April 14, 2008 at 12 noon. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
