Obituary of Dorothy Inez Broderick

Broderick, Dorothy Inez … It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the death of their mother, Dorothy I. Broderick of Titusville, NB, formerly of Park St., Saint John, NB, wife of the late Frances B. Broderick, on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at her residence after a four year battle against cancer. Born in Saint John on November 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Dorothy M. (McKay) McLeod. Dorothy is survived by her three daughters: Joan (James) Mitchell of Titusville, Nancy (Norman) Mercer and Kathy (Peter) Ferguson, both of Saint John; her three sons: Paul F. (Monique) of the Kingston Penninsula, NB, Joseph P. of Saint John and Peter M. (Brenda) of Nauwigewauk, NB; her two sisters: Winnie Darrah and Kaye Dobbin; grandchildren: Tabetha, Mark, Tanya, Karen, Patty, Angie, Randy, Mindy, Michael, Crystal, David, Gary and Lucas; many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and “Patches” the cat. Dorothy was especially fond and delighted with her special angels of care, Sandra Dempster and Betty Cameron. Predeceased by her husband, Francis B.; an infant son, Lawrence; a brother, Larry McLeod and a sister, Joan Wilson. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 1 pm. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
