Obituary of Tammy S. Dort
Dort, Tammy S. … After a courageous battle with cancer, the death of Tammy Shirley (Clements) Dort, of Saint John, NB, wife of Andy Dort, occurred on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the National Institutes of Health, Maryland, US. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Betty (Speight) Clements. Tammy was employed as a school bus driver with District 8. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and was involved with Saint John Youth Hockey Association and Simonds High School. She enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, ATVs and watching her family play sports. Besides her husband of 22 years, she is survived by son, Jeremy Dort; daughter, Jodi (Arthur) Hilden both of Saint John; brothers, Danny (Sharon) Clements of Clover Valley, Donnie (Anne) Clements, Robbie (Janice) Clements, Ricky (Annette) Clements all of Upper Loch Lomond; sisters, Judy (Roy) Carleton, Roxanne (Danny) Burchill both of Clover Valley, Dale (Ronnie) McCarthy of Saint John; grandchildren Cooper and Chase; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday and Monday, May 27 & 28, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
