Obituary of James C. Bond
The death of James Clyde Bond of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Marguerite (LeForte) Bond, occurred peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on November 12, 1940, he was the son of Margaret “Marg” (Lyons) Bond of Saint John and the late Arthur G. Bond. James was the Sales Manager with Universal Studios for 36 years before going to work with Brookville Transport and Expert Delivery until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Balls Lake Fishing Club and the Adanac Shuffleboard Team. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Jamie Dempsey (Paul) of Halifax, NS, Allan Bond of Ontario, Sheryl Gray (John) of Saint John, Michelle Bond (William) of Saint John, Kim Bond of Rothesay, Gary Hiltz of Halifax, NS, Paula Hiltz (John) of Saint John, Donna Armstrong (Harold) of Rothesay, Valerie Moody (Laurie) of Quispamsis and Cindy MacDonald (Brent) of Ontario, 14 grandchildren, Cory Armstrong, Michael Moody, Justin Dempsey, Charnelle Armstrong, Tabatha Khoury, Andrea Phannenhour, Meaghan Hiltz, Kelci Bond, Kayla Flowers, Alyssa Doukogiannis, Hailey Gray, Colton Moody, Tiffany MacDonald and Griffin MacDonald, three great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Emily and Julia, three brothers, Allan Bond (Helen) of Kingston, NB, Robert Bond (Barb) of Saint John and Arthur Bond (Mary) of Belleisle, one sister, Nancy White of Garnett Settlement and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
