Obituary of Marjorie Helen Thomas

Marjorie Helen Thomas of Saint John passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. She was a widow of Rayburn L. (Ray) Thomas, and daughter of the late Harold E. and Hildred (Logan) Jennings. She was born at the Old Fort in West Saint John and lived in the Saint John area all her life except for a period, when on her husband’s retirement, they moved to Spring Brook Farm at South Branch, Kent Co., NB. Mrs. Thomas was a former member of the old Charlotte Street Baptist Church and had graduated from Saint John High School. Prior to her marriage she had been employed with the Public Service Commission of Canada, and was a member of the Federal Superannuates Association. She is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. John Colwell (Wanda) and Mrs. June McLennan; four step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; and also by several half-brothers and sisters. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111, Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2 PM from St. John’s United Church, West Branch, Kent Co., NB. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
