Obituary of Gloria Evelyn Hosford
Gloria Evelyn Hosford passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, partner of Tony LeBlanc. Born in Saint John on April 19, 1943 she was a daughter of the late Oram Hosford and Evelyn Dunphy. Gloria worked for the General Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital for many years. She is survived by her partner, Tony LeBlanc; children, Kimberly Roy of Saint John; Brenda Belding (Malcolm) of St. Martins, NB; Lana Robertson (Peter Saab) of Saint John and Jody Hunter (Tanya) of St. Martins; step-sons, Rick Miller, Mike LeBlanc and Rick LeBlanc all of Saint John; her sister and brother-in-law of who she loved dearly, Doris "Duckie" McDermott (John) of Saint John; three half-sisters, Sharon Campbell of ON; Robin Oldfield (Randy) of Saint John and Linda Hebert of Saint John; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; her best friends, Maureen "Moe" McIntyre and Gord McMillan (Cheryl); three loving aunts, Theresa Roy (George), Thelma McMillan and Alice Hosford; one uncle, Edward Dunphy (Aldina); several nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her sons, Vernon John Huskins and Michael Hunter; son-in-laws, Peter Robertson, Lou Roy and brother, Vincent McLennan. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity Church on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 12 noon. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Multiple Sclerosis would be appreciated by the family.
