Born in Saint John on July 23, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Charles and Helen Gertrude (O’Brien) Wilson, and was educated in local schools. Anne is survived by her sisters, Catherine Wilson and Patricia Wilson, both of Saint John; sisters-in-law Sarah Wilson, Barbara Wilson, and Dorothy Breen, also of Saint John; step-children Charlene Quapp (Manfred) and Keith Shiels; several nieces and nephews; one great niece and one great nephew; and many cousins who were close to her heart. Wilson; a sister, Elizabeth Campbell; and a step-daughter, Karen Shiels. The family would like to extend a gracious thank you to Dr. George Thornhill for his kindness and care for over thirty years, as well as the Doctors and Nurses of the Palliative Care Unit who cared for Anne during her illness. Anne’s special friends and caregivers Debbie Campbell and Lisa Whitney were also very close to her heart, and helped her for many years. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, Saint John. Interment will take place privately in the Loyalist Cemetery, Harding’s Point. For those who wish, remembrances to the New Brunswick Association for Community Living or the Rett’s Syndrome Association would be appreciated by the family.
