Obituary of David J. Albert
The unexpected death of Dave Albert, husband of Ethel (Short) Albert occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was born on November 3, 1941 in Bathurst to the late Clarence and Hélène (Godin) Albert. Dave worked for Atlantic Towing as a deck hand for over 45 years until his retirement. He loved to tinker around the house and garage. Dave was a loving husband and father; a true family man, who enjoyed a cold Alpine after a hard days work. Besides Ethel his wife of over 41 years, Dave is survived by his sons: Raymond (Kerry Voutour) and Dave both of Saint John; daughters: Tara Graham of Edmonton, AB and Tina Albert (Wayne Boyer) and Jacqueline Porter (Ryan) both of Saint John; sisters: Bernice (Jean-Martin), Rejeanne (Yvon), Adélice (Abel), Claudine (Léonard) and Claudette (Donald); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers: André, Wallace and Sylvio. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 am. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
