Obituary of Jeff Joseph Lee Verner
The death of Jeff J.L. Verner, of Saint John, husband of Sally Furlong, occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Jeff was born in Saint John and was a son of Roland and Melody (Radcliffe) Verner. He was a lifelong resident of the Saint John area and graduated from St. Mac’s High School in 2001and NBCC in 2008. Jeff was employed in the IT field. He loved martial arts and was a loving brother, son, husband and father also was a very loyal friend to many. He was predeceased by his Paternal Grandmother, Audrey Hamilton and Maternal Grandparents, Leonard and Florence Radcliffe. As well as his parents and wife, he is survived by his paternal grandfather, David Hamilton; two sons, Devin and DJ; one brother, Jay Verner; two sisters, Jessica (Drew) Trecartin all of Saint John and Jennifer Hoben of Kingston Peninsula; one aunt, Barb Bunch; four uncles, Troy and Bill Beveridge, Eugene and Allan Radcliffe; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Church on Monday at 10 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice. Following the service a reception will be held in the Parish Hall.
