Obituary of Douglas Milledge Taylor

Douglas Milledge Taylor of Bains Corner, husband of Jane T. (Soucy) Taylor, passed away on Friday, January 04, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born on April 8, 1949, he was a son of Catherine and the late Leverett Milledge Taylor. Doug was employed as an operator with Irving Paper, working until his health declined in 2004. He was an avid golfer and pool player, as well as an undefeated Yahtzee player. In addition to his wife of 34 years, Doug is survived by his mother, Catherine Taylor of Prince Edward Island; his children, Christopher Taylor (Sara) of Coquitlam, BC, Brett Ann Taylor of Saint John, and Bradley Taylor of Edmonton, AB; a grandson, Brayden; his brother, Deane Taylor (Johann) of Saint John; a sister, Judy McConnell (Jock) of Dawson Creek, BC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Doug was predeceased by his half brother, Richard Taylor. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, January 6, 2013, from 6-9 PM. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held privately on Monday, with interment at a later date in St. William’s Cemetery. In memory of Doug, a donation to the 4th Floor MICU through the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
