Obituary of John Edward Coyle
Surrounded by his family the death of Johnny Coyle, husband of Grace (Hobbs) Coyle occurred at his residence on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He was born in Saint John on August 7, 1923 to the late John J. and Annie May (Chamberlain) Coyle. John worked for CNR Truckers for forty eight years until his retirement, also he worked for Sarto Hickey Construction. He loved to "walk to town" rain or shine. John was the perfect gentleman, and was respected by his friends and neighbours. He missed his son dearly, the late W.J. "Buster" Coyle who was the apple of his eye. John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Grace; sister, Frances Gidney; nieces who were like daughters: Wanda (Roland), Lori (Ali), and Lisa (Malcolm); a special papa to Daniel (Sam), John J. ‘Papa’s Boy’ (Melissa), Megan (Rylin), Keven, Drake, Cohen, Caleb, Grayson, Carter, Cody, and Austin; sisters-in-law: Anne Hobbs and Barbara Craig and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and son, He was predeceased by his twin brother, Bernard and sister, Monica Cook. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). There will be no visiting, however John’s Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice or Mission Church would be appreciated by the family.
