Obituary of Ronald Gerard Vaughan
Ronald Gerard Vaughan of Saint John, husband of Gail M. L. (Cunningham) Vaughan, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 7, 1943, he was a son of the late William Edward and Ursula Theresa (Hodd) Vaughan. Throughout his working career, Ron was employed Loomis Courier, NB Liquor, Irving Pulp and Paper, and the Red Chevron Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, and was also a huge Saint John Sea Dogs fan. Ron enjoyed his family and friends, and loved being around people, and was a member of the Adanac Club and the Red Chevron Club. In addition to his wife of 45 years, Ron is survived by two sisters, Nancy Vaughan (Larry Roy) of Saint John and Joanne Henderson of Nauwigewauk; two brothers, William "Bill" Vaughan (Marlene) of Saint John and David Vaughan of Winnipeg, MB; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by a brother, Louis Vaughan; a sister, Rose Marie Hoben; and by three infant siblings. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 7-9 PM and Friday, July 27, 2012 from 2-5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
