Obituary of Anthony Jude Savard
Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital the death of Tony Savard, husband of Bonnie Savard (Knox) occurred on Saturday, September 29, 2012. He was born on September 8, 1955 in Saint John to the late Charles and Mary (Lesjack) Savard. Tony was the owner and operator of Imperial Painting until his retirement. He was genuinely kind and caring man, the sort man who would give you the shirt off his back. Tony loved his grandchildren; they meant the world to him. His hobbies included "Wheeling and Dealing"; he enjoyed playing cards, horse racing, Saturday yard sales and the Sunday Flea Market in Fredericton Besides his wife, Tony is survived by his son, Tony Savard (Kirk) of Saint John; daughters: Crystal Savard (Randy) and Shelly Savard (Doug) both of Saint John; brothers: Jimmy (Emma), Richard, Bobby, and Ron (Jackie); sisters: Cathy Helyar (Alain), Margaret ‘Peggy’ Defazio (Raymond), Theresa Sew (James) and Janie Lewis (Ken); grandchildren: Courtney, Haley, DJ, Tanisha, Miranda, Jillian and Lyric; several cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many close friends and extended family. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 306 Somerset Street on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Diabetes Association or Romero House would be appreciated by the family.
