Obituary of Winnie Josephine Sabean
It is with great sadness that the family of Winnie J. Sabean, wife of the late Theodore A. Sabean, announces her passing on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born on July 26, 1925 in Zealand, NB, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Rosalin (Brewer) Morehouse. Winnie worked for several years as a waitress at Green’s Restaurant and Diana’s Restaurant. She enjoyed camping, Saturday night dances, country music, jigsaw puzzles, and especially loved word search puzzles. She also knitted for the Empty Stocking Fund for many years. Winnie is survived by her four sons, Patrick, Wayne (Linda), Leonard (Marsha Ellis) and Gary (Wanda); one daughter, Heather Watson (Brien); special son, Petridis "Pat"; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her dog, Maggie; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and daughter, Linda. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society; Ridgewood Veterans Wing or charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
