Obituary of Gordon Dale Grass
With his family at his side, the death of Dale Grass, husband of the late Connie Grass (Quartley) occurred at the Shannex Nursing Home, Embassy Hall on Monday, August 19, 2013. He was born on August 11, 1940 in Halifax, NS to the late Murray and Ida (White) Grass. Dale worked for Saint John Shipbuilding Building for many years until his retirement. He was a great father and grandfather his children are very appreciative of him. In his spare time Dale enjoyed socializing with friends. He is survived by his beloved children: Wayne Grass of Saint John and Ronda Ellis (Doug) of the Kingston Peninsula; grandchildren: Jared and Madeline Grass, and Aaron and Devin Ellis; brothers: Murray (Eleanor) and Eric (Pat) Grass and several nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by his wife; parents; brother, Gerald and sister, Melda Kingston. The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and Verna Cunningham at the Shannex Nursing Home, Embassy Hall for there friendship and compassion to Dale during his stay. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place in White Head Cemetery, Kingston Peninsula at a later date. For those who wish remembrances to the White Head Church Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
