Obituary of Glenna Curtis Tays
Tays, Glenna Curtis – Surrounded by her family the death of Glenna Tays occurred on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John on December 2, 1935 to the late Glen and Maude (Josselyn) Cunningham. Glenna had a great love for children and taught school for 35 years. She had a strong faith she shared with her church family at Park Avenue Church. She is survived by her sons: Gordon Tays of Saint John, Gregory Tays (Natalie) of Nelson House MB, Bradley (Irene) Tays of Ireland, Scott Tays (Shannon) of Winnipeg, MB and Kent Tays (Abbie) of Saint John; grandchildren: Alec, Donavon, Bailey, Lucas, Danielle, Nicole, Quinn, Robyn, Julia, Dustin, Jessica and Reid; three great grandchildren; sister, Betty Messer (Victor) of Quispamsis and several nieces and nephews. Glenna was predeceased by her parents and sisters: Shirley Cunningham and Barbara Tibbo (Hugh). Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Park Avenue United Church, 101 Wilton Street on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to Park Avenue United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
