Obituary of Margaret Agnes Harvey

Margaret "Billie" Harvey of Rothesay, wife of the late Allan Reid Harvey, passed away on December 10, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Andrews on March 8, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Sydney and Alice (Peacock) Anning. Billie served in World War II in the Air Force, and following the war, worked as a legal assistant. A lover of all things music, she taught music, and studied it in New York. Margaret, the "neighbourhood mom" was a dog lover, world traveler, and enjoyed golfing, gardening, and watching her son, and later her grandsons, play hockey. She is survived by her son, Robin (Jill) Harvey, grandchildren Ryan and Adam Harvey, niece Pam Fulton, and a nephew, Robert O’Dell. In addition to her husband and parents, Billie was pre-deceased by her sister, Jean O’Dell. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 14 at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a "Tribute to a Veteran" service on Thursday at 7:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances to the Alzheimer’s Society, World Vision, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
