Obituary of Rosalie Theresa Fuller
It is with great sadness that the family of Rosalie Theresa Fuller of Saint John, wife of Fred Fuller, announces her passing on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born on September 27, 1935 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Phillip Hodgson and Theresa (O’Toole) Hodgson – Scott. Rosalie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Fred; five children, Patricia Fuller-Wilson (Blaise), Peter Fuller, Paul Fuller, Pam Fuller and Patrick Fuller (Carla); four grandchildren, Haley and Michael Wilson and Emma and Lauren Fuller; two sisters, Olive Hannah and Kathy (Mike) Monaghan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, step-father, Arthur Scott; sister, Barbara Hodgson and her brother, James Hodgson. Rosalie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. A kind and giving friend, Rosalie was a great amateur painter, making sure her five P’s had a portrait of hers hanging in their home. Rosalie was active in the work force in her later years working at the Saint John City Police, NB Tel, Real Estate and at the Bank of Nova Scotia. She was a member of the Royal United Services Inc., Saint John Real Estate, CWL, St. Ann’s Church and the Bridge Club where she enjoyed her games with the girls. Rosalie also volunteered at the Red Cross, Probus and the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of MICU at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Church on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
