Obituary of Ruth Anne Hoyt
Ruth Anne Hoyt of Saint John, wife of Stanley E. Beal, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on August 12, 1956, she was a daughter of Shirley (Cowan) Hoyt and the late Robert Hoyt. Ruth was employed with Aliant for several years, retiring in 2005 as an Electrical Engineer. She enjoyed gardening, but her true passion was travel, which took her to many destinations including Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as Hawaii and the Caribbean. She had a positive attitude and a great zest for life, and will be missed by so many circles of friends. In addition to her husband and to her mother, Ruth is survived by a step-son, Jason Beal of Riverview; a step-daughter, Natasha LeBlanc (Chris) of Riverview; siblings Nancy Griffin (John) of Darlings Island and David Hoyt (Andrea) of Ottawa; and nieces and nephews Andrew Griffin, Gail Clark (Gary), Sally Lyons (Justin), Ben Hoyt, and Victoria Hoyt. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, July 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 12:00 Noon from Main Street Baptist Church. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
