Obituary of Gladys Audrey Davidson
It is with great sadness that the family of Gladys Audrey Davidson, of Saint John, wife of the late Thomas L. Davidson, announces her passing on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born in Saint John on August 23, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Phyllis (Nicole) Hamilton. Audrey worked for many years as a waitress and cook at the White House Lodge and Royal Hotel. Audrey was a very kind and giving person and will always be remembered for her cooking skills and her fun loving personality. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Max) Frees, Barbara (Harvey) Doucet and Thomas (Sharon) Davidson; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her brother, Norman Hamilton and sister, Marjorie Gallant. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 2-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 12:00 noon from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Palliative Care Unit (SJRH), the Heart and Stroke Foundation or any charity of the donor’s choice.
