Obituary of Sigmund Rutkowski
Sigmund "Syd" Rutkowski of Saint John passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at home. Born on April 11, 1953 in Germany he was the son of Gertrude Banks. Syd moved with his family to Digby, Nova Scotia, as a young child. Besides his mother, he is survived by partner, Myles Legacy; his brother, Peter, Digby, NS; sisters, Christine, Bear River, NS; Maria, Vancouver, BC, Cathy, Cornwallis NS; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother. Visitation will take place at Centenary Queen Square United Church, 215 Wentworth Street, Saint John, on Friday April 27, 2012 from 2-4 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from the church on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM. The funeral arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances to AIDS Saint John would be appreciated by the family.
