Obituary
Obituary of Charlotte Li Floyd
Little Charlotte did not get a chance to see the smiling faces of her parents Simon and Angel (Li) Floyd. On August 2nd, just a few days before her expected delivery date, she died in her mothers womb. The natural birthing process proceeded at the Regional Hospital and at 5:30 in the afternoon an 8 lb 10 oz baby girl was delivered. What was supposed to be a happy day turned into one filled with sadness. The attending nurses prepared Charlotte for a short visit in Angel’s room where the tears poured out for our dear little Charlotte, leaving us emotionally drained inside and out. Everything was well prepared for her coming. The crib, the little bathing tub, the clothes, the stroller, a doll and little teddy bear, diapers and wipes filled her awaiting room. Now it is filled with emptiness as we deal with her death. Besides her parents Simon and Angel she leaves behind her grandparents Charles and Marcia Floyd of Rothesay, Yu Gang Li and Song Zhen Zou of Harbin, China, her great grandmother Irma Floyd of St Martins, her aunts Carla (Craig) Hirtle of Eastern Passage and Jill Floyd of Calgary, Alberta, Carla’s children Kennedi, Mitchell, Matthew and Nathan who were very excited and anxious to see their new cousin. Also many, many aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles and cousins. Her great grandfather Frank Floyd who would have been very proud to see her, passed away on October 26th, 2012. At her parents request there will be no funeral service or visitation. Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) are entrusted with Charlotte’s cremation and with placing her ashes in a tiny urn for Simon and Angel to keep close by. Interment may take place at some point in the future. Special thanks to Suzanne, Catherine, Andrea and Angela of 3A South who were very thoughtful and caring. If you wish make a donation to your favourite charity in her name please feel free to do so. Farewell Charlotte, there will always be a special place reserved in our hearts just for you.
