I would like to express condolences to Tom's family. I had a lot of contact with Tom during the late 1950's while attending SJ High School and the YMCA on Hazen Ave. He was Physical Education Director during those years, and I was in the Intermediate Leaders Corp and worked part time on the front desk. He had a great influence on my life, decision making over my career and, I wound up following some of his footsteps with first degree in Physical Education, and jonined the Canadian Navy Reserve as an Officer Cadet (1960), followed by Commission, then on to administrative positions in the public service.
I learned of Tom's passing from another Saint John Y Leader and later Y Physical Education Director/ Executive Director. Under Tom;s leadership, there was a team of which we were a part and from which I gained tremendously over the years. I have been very saddened to learn of his passing! Wayne Maxwell, Dartmouth, NS
