Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Finlayson
Surrounded by her loving family, Mary “Trudi” Elizabeth (Glynn) Finlayson, wife of Cameron Finlayson, passed away peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice on Sunday, May 5, 2019. Born July 11, 1952 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Childerhouse) Glynn.
Trudi attended St. Vincent’s High School and afterwards joined the Military, where she met her husband Cam. She went on to serve in various postings in both Canada and Europe. She also served time in Afghanistan as a civilian with ISAF. Her hobbies included curling, traveling, as well as camping and cooking. One of her favorite pastimes was having Nanny Camp with her grandson, Cameron.
She will be missed by her husband Cameron Finlayson; children: Derek Finlayson and Cynthia Graves (Dustin); grandchildren: Cameron and Makayla; brothers: Jack Glynn (Mary) and Bob Glynn (Ann); along with many uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special Thanks to her nieces: Amy and Laura for their support and love. And a special Thank You to Bobby’s Hospice for their thoughtfulness and care.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visitation on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 7:00. A Funeral Liturgy will follow in the Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 pm. For those who wish, remembrances to Pancreatic Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family. www.BrenansFH.com
