Obituary of Winnifred Bernice Rogers
It is with appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Winnifred B. Rogers, loving wife of the late Joseph G. Rogers, announces her passing which occurred on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Shannex, Saint John. Born in Saint John on April 2, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Best) Howe.
Winnifred will be missed by her children: Marilyn Cornfield (Phillip), Buster Rogers (Yvonne), Sherry Cyr (Earl), Winnie Bastarache (Bryant), Byron Rogers (Lynn) and Shelley Daviault (Norman); 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings Fred and Sandra; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Winnifred was predeceased by sons Allan and Billy; and siblings: Betty, Dorothy, Anna, Norma, Jean, Buster, Ronald and Wayne.
The family would like to thank the staff of Shannex in Millidgeville, the SORP at Loch Lomond Villa, as well as a special thanks to Joan Johnson for all the extra time and care she gave to Winnie.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral celebrating Winnifred’s life will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
