Obituary of Dorothea Eveleen "Evie" Everett

With appreciation of a life well lived, the family of Dorothea Eveleen “Evie” Everett, grieve for her passing which occurred on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home.  Born on April 17, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William and Edna (Peters) Bryden.

 

Evie lived her whole life in Saint John. She worked proudly as a Medical Lab Technician for her entire working career, retiring at the age of 58.  Evie was an active member of her church, St. Andrew and St. David United, and was a member of the IODE (Sir Douglas Hazen Chapter). 

 

Evie will be remembered by her daughter-in-law Ruth March, granddaughter Elizabeth March, sister Marilyn Morton (Newcastle, Ontario), nieces and nephews: Janet Stewart-Robertson (Charles), Dianne Moase (Roy), Patricia Morton, Barbara Morton (Dave Johnston), Stephen Morton, and Chris James, step-sons: Greg, Ross and John Everett, along with members of her extended family.


Besides her parents, Evie was predeceased by her first husband Walter March, her second husband Kenneth Everett, her son Brian March, her sister Joan Stewart Hartt, and her nephew Peter Stewart (Susan).

 

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Friday, May 24 from 12:00-1:00 PM. The Funeral Service will take place in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel and will begin following visitation at 1:00 PM with interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
