Obituary of Mary Ellen Bodycott
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Ellen Bodycott, loving wife of the late William (Bill) Bodycott, announces her passing which occurred on May 10, 2019 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, ON. Born on May 3, 1943 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ella (Oldfield) Walker.
Mary is survived by daughters, Laurie Zimmermann, Robin Russell (Cory) and Janice Bodycott (William); beloved grandsons, Justin, Alexander and Connor; sisters, Seneath “Doll” Darrah (Doug) and Evelyn Morrell (Wayne); sister-in-law, Shirley; brothers-in-law, Patrick and George; aunts, Evelyn and Lorna; cousin and best friend Dewey; as well as many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mom was devoted to her family and spent many years moving around the country during Dad’s military career before retiring home to Saint John. She loved spending Sundays with family and friends and was blessed to have spent the last few years with her youngest grandsons. She will be missed.
Although there will be no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service which will take place at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Diabetes Association of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
