Obituary of Michael Ellsworth Sparks

The death of Michael Sparks of Saint John, husband of Eleanor (Forsythe) Sparks, occurred on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on February 19, 1947 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Doreen (Brown) Sparks.

In addition to Eleanor, Michael will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Sean Sparks and Steven Sparks (Jenny); daughters, Frances Forsythe (Chris), Bertha Forsythe (Richard) and Catherine Godin (Kristopher); 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews and feline companion, Molly.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
