Obituary of Brenda Joyce Sharpe
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brenda Joyce Sharpe announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Saint John on April 15, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Gordon Belyea and Irene Sharpe.
In her earlier years, Brenda worked as a chamber maid at the Admiral Beatty Hotel followed by a career in Housekeeping for over thirty years at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She loved to take in country drives especially to Norton as well as her bus trips to do her errands around the city. Everyone knew Brenda and loved her sweet and kind personality. Most of all Brenda loved her family and spending time with them. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Judi Kyle of Shediac, Debra Minnard of Saint John, Bridget Remillard (Mike) of Kitchener On.; brother, Lorne Sharpe of Saint John; nieces, Jaime Ross (Dave), Nicole Nantel (Larry) and Danikka Maser (Daniel); nephews, Terry Daley (Joyce), Michael, Aaron and Christopher; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her sisters, Beverly and Lorie.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of 5CS at the Saint John Regional Hospital for all the care and compassion shown to Brenda. Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (634-7424) with visitation on Saturday, June 8, 2019 and Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 2:30 PM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Donations in Brenda’s memory can be made to the the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Online condolences can be made at www.BrenansFH.com.
