Ed was employed with NB Power for 32 years. He worked as the Manager of Courtenay Bay Power Plant, and retired as Commissioning Manager at Belledune Generating Station. He was a long time, active member of St. John the Baptist Church. In his spare time, Ed was a backyard mechanic, and was often found tinkering with motors. He enjoyed travelling and road trips, especially to Bangor and Florida but also took great pleasure in his hunting trips to St. George.

Besides his parents, Ed was predeceased by his children: Brian Murphy and Bridget Charlton, and siblings: Mary Watts, Ryan, Louis, William and Leo Murphy.

Ed’s family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to Dr. Ashely Wood for her compassionate care for many years. To the staff at Turnbull Home for their dedication and care and to the Cam Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their warmth and support towards Ed and his family in his final days.
