Obituary of Paulette Hines
The family of Paulette (Walker) Hines announces her passing, which occurred on June 25, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born on September 5, 1947 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Paul Ugene and Mary Catherine (Cameron) Walker.
Paulette is survived by her sister, Susan Aleong of Ontario and brother, Joel Walker (Theresa) of Alberta. Predeceased by sister, Cheryl Ann Walker. She will also be remembered by her daughter, Cathy Galbraith of British Columbia and grandchildren, Kimberly and Dylin and a great-grandson, Jameson; her son, Mark Hines (Vicki) and grandchildren, Jeremey Joyce, Daniel and Owen Hines; as well as her best friend and kindred spirit, Ruth Mason.
Paulette was a creative person who enjoyed art, decorating, thrift shopping, yoga and good food. Being a grandmother was the most rewarding role in her life.
In keeping with Paulette’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
In lieu of flowers, Paulette would want you to buy yourself some flowers, or better yet, take some flowers to someone else you may need to reconnect with. If you prefer, donations made to the SJRH Palliative Care Unit c/o the SJRH Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society of NB or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
