Obituary of Margaret Emily Moore
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret Moore (Shiels), announces her passing which occurred on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born on April 8, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rita (Burns) Williams.
Margie was an avid discount shopper, and bargain hunter. She was a very active walker and expert bingo player. The Shiels family would like to thank Dr. Reiman and the oncology team, her bingo friends and all the residents of 50 Charlton Place that watched over her and provided friendship all these years, especially her beloved friends, Carman and Evelyn.
Margie will be dearly missed by her children: Valerie Williams (David Gallagher), Carol Shiels, David (Darlene) Shiels and Charlotte (Chris) MacKenzie, her 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her siblings: David Williams, Edna Dever, Bessie (Vaughn) Messer and Barb (Donnie) McLaughlin, sister-in-law Donna Williams along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family.
Besides her parents, Margie was predeceased by her first husband David Shiels, her second husband Dennis Moore and siblings: Albert, Hazel, Marie, Mildred, Annie, Mary, Charlotte and infant twins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Thursday, July 11 from 2-4 and 6-8. A celebration of Margie’s life will take place at 50 Charlton Place on Friday, July 12 from 3-6 in the community room.
