Obituary of Noreen Doris O'Blenis
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Noreen O’Blenis wish to announce her passing at the age of 96 , on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 at the Parkland Shannex Nursing Home in Millidgeville, Saint John, NB. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her daughters-in-law Barbara O’Blenis and Vivian O’Blenis, and grandchildren Sherry (Jules), Tracey (Sean), Corey (Rhea), and Kelly (Chris). She was fortunate to have known and played an important role in her great grandchildren’s lives and will be sadly missed by Tristan, Julian, Emily, Quinn, Mackenzie, Kayla, and Alyssa. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, and sons Gary and Greg. Her memories will live on as we remember her so full of life and love, her time spent teaching her grandchildren to sew, bake, make candy on the snow, hiking, beach trips, dancing and singing. She had a love of life, animals and dedicated time to volunteering. The family would like to thank the Parkland Shannex staff for their kindness and compassion in caring for her. A family service will take place in Corner Brook, NL, at a later date, where she will be laid to rest alongside Donald, to look up at the mountains she was so very fond of.
