Obituary of Dr. Connie Robinson
Dr. Connie Robinson passed away, peacefully, on July 22nd 2019 in Saint John, NB with her family at her bedside. Connie was born in Sussex, NB on August 12, 1953. She was the first-born child of the late Raymond and Thelma (Sullivan) Robinson. Connie is survived by her three sons Matthew, Joshua and Christian and her brother Ron. She is predeceased by her husband Dr. Michael Mackin.
Connie grew up in Rothesay, NB and graduated from Rothesay Regional High School in 1971. Upon graduation she attended the Saint John School of Nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1973. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS in 1978. After working in the Neonatal Unit at Saint John Regional Hospital, she continued her education in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University in St. John’s, NL, graduating with a Medical Doctorate Degree in 1984. She was awarded her Certification from the Canadian College of Family Physicians.
Connie was well-respected as a physician by her peers and patients alike. She shared a medical practice with her late husband Dr. Michael Mackin. She enjoyed watching sunsets over the river and spending time around the pool with friends, family and her beloved dog Coco. In her spare time, Connie enjoyed supporting her community with her volunteer work. She was dedicated to St. Paul’s Anglican Church and St. David’s Scouting Group. She also enjoyed scrap-booking with her friend Maureen, gardening, and the hand-bell choir. Family, for Connie, was extremely important. She and her family took many wonderful family trips around the world and numerous areas in Canada. Prince Edward Island will always be full of wonderful memories for her boys and her brother Ron. She passed on many life lessons to her sons who hope to embody the values she stood for. She will be missed dearly by many.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24 from 6-8 and Thursday, July 25 from 2-4 and 6-8. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Friday, July 26 at 11:00 AM.
