Was saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. Knew him forever. My parents Walter and Alma Scott were the first presidents of Beaus and Belles. My Dad passed away in 1989. Ken dropped in to check on my Mom at 144 Lansdowne for the next 30 years. At 100 she was at St. John/ St. Stephen Nursing Home. Phyllis Briggs was her roommate. Mom passed away at 103. Ken was an honorary pallbearer. We have lost a wonderful man. Proud to have known him. Sincere condolences to his family. Lorna (Scott) Reid

Saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Briggs. Met him just a couple of months ago while walking past his home on Beaverbrook Ave. I can’t believe I grew up down the street, and had not met this great man before. He shared stories of his travels, the passing of his wife, neighbors from the past and current ones. He had such a nice personality and was very sharp and witty. I am so happy that I met Mr Briggs before he passed. He is definitely a person you don’t forget. Thank you for your wartime and lifetime contributions Mr Briggs, Rest In Peace.

To the entire Briggs family,
Ahhh, my next door country neighbors for many years. Too many good times to even pick some highlights out. It was one of life's greatest joys to have you all as summer neighbors and Kenny more frequently including the spring and fall. He was an icon and will be missed. He was my water ski hero, skiing into his 80's. He was not the person to be standing up in a canoe....but he did....unsuccessfully. Nothing ever seemed to bother him and he took life as it came. Our sincere condolences on his passing. His offspring will always be welcome in our home.

Ronnie, Jamie, Jeannie, and my two sisters, Kathy & Marilyn, my nieces & nephews, and my cousins ... Where do I begin? What can I say? I am overwhelmed w/ both blessed sadness and heart-felt gratefulness for having my family that I do ... More than any other time, I wish I was able to be w/ you all, crying, laughing, hugging, reminiscing ... sharing. Uncle Kenny was unlike any other person I have known and deeply loved. I am truly blessed. Uncle Kenny (and Aunt Rhoda) loved unconditionally and, w/out reservation, each, openly showed their affection. For me, Uncle Kenny has completed a generation, a “Briggs’” family era ... I wish I was able to say, one more time, “I love you, Uncle Kenny.” I wish, I could feel his arm bear-hug one more time. To all my family, please know my heart and thoughts are w/ you all. Bill, too, wishes to send his prayers for peace during each each one’s grieving process. I love you all. I am devastated, frustrated, upset, feeling alone & guilty for not being with everyone during this time. But ... most of all, I am so thankful that Uncle Kenny was MY uncle. So, to you, Uncle Kenny, ‘thank you’ for being an important part of my life. I know you have had a safe flight HOME, and you have reunited w/ Aunt Rhoda. You are missed, Uncle Kenny. Love, your youngest brother’s eldest daughter, your niece, Sandra Briggs-Lacer

I truly will miss him. I enjoyed our talks and video chats and being part of his past, present, and future. He always was quick and sure witted. Always responded to emails or calls with such energy.
