Jennifer and I played together as kids, wonderful games with imaginary characters -at our home or at her father's large house where he would quote poetry to us. We grew apart with time unfortunately. My condolances to family and friends.

Years ago was visiting my grandparent and we became friends. We played with your doll house, and crept upstairs to the ballroom. I remember your dad with his dog, I would call him hot dog. When ever we visited we would gather at your house to play. Jennifer you are now in the arms of your dad and mom. God Bless.

Sister-Swan
In remembrance for Jennifer Brittain
We did not know one another,
Only but to crook our necks in greeting
And glide past each other, new swans.
Knowing that within that
shy casting of our eyes,
all along were secrets, sorrows
and beauties unspoken
that each would recognize.
There was in that mirror a gentle peace
And in that peace, a solace.

Jen was one year ahead of me at Saint John High but I saw her on stage. She performed exquisitely as Laura in The Glass Menagerie, a performance I measure all others against.
In the Summer of 1971, we both joined George Fry's Awarehouse Street Players and we performed everywhere in Saint John. Our first performance was at the Loyalist Days Coffee House in the Bank of Montreal (bottom of King St.). I have uploaded a photo. Such fun times! Rest in Peace, Jennifer.

Very sorry to hear of Jennifer's passing. I always remember Jennifer's long beautiful blonde hair. We both graduated from Saint John High School in 1970. My prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

Very sorry to hear the news about Jennifer's passing. We had a great time with Jennifer living in the same neighbourhood in Toronto (1984-1994) swapping stories about Saint John, supporting each other as unlikely Torontonians and hanging out with various and assorted dignitaries of the Saint John Art World attempting to put down Toronto roots or merely passing through. An indefatigable conversationalist, hospitable, gracious, a woman of fine mind and great wit. Rest well Jennifer and see you in the cosmos! ps. I'm sorry I never returned your Iggy Pop album.

As part of the Cast of the "Glass Menagerie" at Saint John High, I fondly remember Jennifer for her role as Laura. The picture of Jennifer on this obituary is beautifully presenting her, as I remember her. May she rest in peace.
