Obituary of Carmel Cecilia Shea

It is with great sadness comes the passing of Carmel Cecilia (Dempsey) Shea of Saint John, at the age of 92 on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at her residence. 

Carmel, in her early years, worked at the Saint John General Hospital and the Regional Hospital for a combined total of 30 years of devoted service. 

Carmel was survived by her son Michael Richard Shea of Saint John, three grandchildren: Christopher, Jeremy and Katie of Red Deer, AB, six great grandchildren and sisters-in-law: Nettie and Sandra Straight and son-in-law Bob Gil.

Carmel was predeceased by her husband Rickard Harlo Shea and her daughter Lynn Louise Shea (David Hilder).

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 27 from 2-4 and 6-8.  A graveside will be held at a later date.
