Obituary of Eva Louise Norris Bacon
It is with appreciation for a lifetime of memories that the family of Eva Norris Bacon of Saint John, beloved wife of the late Ralph Norris, announce her passing which occurred on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born on September 7, 1937 in Chamcook, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Elva (Dow) Berriault.
Eva dedicated her life to caring for the needs of those she loved. She always looked forward to family gatherings and times spent with her grandchildren who were the apples of her eye. For a short time, Eva was employed with Lawton’s McAllister as a pharmacy assistant. She enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles and knitting. Eva will be dearly missed and always remembered for her kind and caring ways.
Eva will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Thelma Montyr (Malcolm) of Saint John, Carro Richard (Dereck) of Quispamsis and Cathy Jagoe (Wayne) of Fredericton; sister, Linda Fillmore (Sterling) of Oxford, NS; precious grandchildren, Emily Richard and Nicholas Jagoe (Danielle Elliott); special friend, Bernard Rogers of Saint John; as well as members of her extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Author Berriault and sister, Thelma Berriault.
Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service which will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NB.
