Dear Mary-Jean and Judith,
Our hearts are with you at this time of reflection and loss. Although we have not kept in touch over the years, that does not diminish the importance of fond memories from our teen years.
Your mother was an amazing example of Christian generosity, humility, calm gracious leadership, and persevererce despite her painful health concerns.
The respect and admiration we have held for your mother's outstanding contribution to so many worthy causes in NB is shared by so many who benefited either from having known your mom, or were involved in the many, varied causes she supported, like the Saint John Autism Centre, Beulah Camp, the PALS program, Kids Club and on.
She certainly deserves the glory she has gone home to. God Bless you and your families.
Thinking of you with prayers
Diane & Gary

Our sincere sympathy to all of you on the loss of your dear wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Jean.
She will be very sadly missed.
I remember arranging the hymn "All Creatures of our God and King" at Jean's request for the dedication of the new organ at First Wesleyan Church, and her coming to find me after the service to say how much she liked the arrangement.
We shared many activities over the past 40+ years, most were around music or the church.
She was a wonderful lady.

Dear Mr. Irving and family,
In 1998 Jean helped us start our little Autism Centre. I was so scared ...Jon ( my son) was diagnosed with Autism at three and I tried to find a place to just BE. I had my fill of clinics, waiting rooms, waiting lists and so little information re. Autism in those days. Jean and the ' Mrs.' Were my mentors and they were quite a pair....they had already helped me through so many up hill climbs...so many tough moments. I reached out and they came with words of encouragement and a willingness to do whatever they could ...to change this course I was on in Autism land. Community Autism Centre Inc. (CACI) started to be pulled togeather...a committee was formed...cause whatever Jean did she did just right! So many great people came togeather and an Autism Centre was born... all because of the kids! All for the kids!! And now we have 11 Autism Centres in NB based on our little footstep.
20 plus years later...when I heard of Jean's passing away on Thursday...all i could think of that day was when i first met her...i was 14..a kid and so very lost in so many ways. When I needed her the most Jean and the ' Mrs.' Were there for me...they helped build a centre that is so there for so very many ...today.
And... it all started because of Faith... the faith of two ladies..Jean Irving and 'Mrs' MacKenzie ...in their God...now my God and faith in a kid... me...
Now I am an old lady... lol... so Jean Irving
" Thankyou for your faith in God ... Rest in complete peace and joy...."
Our little Community Autism Centre ...thanks you so very much... I thank you.

We were so sorry to hear of Mrs. Irving's passing. She was indeed a wonderful woman and a great humanitarian; I am sure she is at rest with God, to whom she was a true and faithful servant.
I have one special memory of Mrs. Irving. I was fortunate to attend a dinner at Shadow Lawn, with her and several others, at the completion of Rocmaura's Capital Campaign to build Trinity Court and renovate the rest of the home. I sat directly opposite her and was enraptured by her storytelling the entire evening.
She spoke of her love for her family and shared funny stories that shone a light for me to who she was, and she was quite something.
I will never forget the visual images she created for us in her stories. I will never look at a sea plane without thinking of her; such a she was a courageous and able woman.
On behalf of Rocmaura and the many others who were touched by her generosity and love, I send heartfelt thanks and great appreciation.
Our prayers are with all of you.

I am so saddened to hear the news of Mrs. Irving's passing.
She was so kind and generous to me.
I will always cherish our time on Maiden Lane, when she made us a lasagna as a house warming...and was so welcoming to the kids, when they would stop by. On Halloween, she made sure to give out toothbrushes and paste as well as candy :)
Through the years, I always enjoyed her visits to Trinity Galleries as she was so warm and thoughtful, in her words and in her gifts for family.
Sending our deepest sympathies to her wonderful family...She will be so missed.
