Obituary of Susan Elaine Todd
It is with great sadness that the family of Susan (Cormier) Todd, loving wife of David Todd, announce her unexpected passing on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on Mother’s Day in 1963, on May 12th, she was a daughter of the late Laurie and Alice (LeBlanc) Cormier.
Susan grew up in the North End in Rockwood Court, and was a member of the Rockwood Court Facebook Group. She was a member of the Loyalist City Corvette Club and enjoyed going to car shows with David. She loved her family fiercely, and was happiest when she was around them, especially when the music was playing. In October of last year, Susan began working at McDonald’s on McAllister Drive- her very first job. She was very proud of her work and made many friendships with regular customers and the other staff. She will be missed by many.
In addition to her husband, David, of 37 years, she is survived by her son, Ricky Todd (Kristen); daughter, Kayla Todd; sister, Victoria Cormier-Herrington (Larry); sister-in-law, Ann Marie Cormier; her fur buddy, Bentley the Cocker Spaniel; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Anne Marie Enman; and brothers: Laurie “Junior” Cormier and Richard “Ricky” Cormier.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday and Friday, November 7 and 8, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 9:30 am from Brenan’s Chapel, with a reception to follow the interment. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Ronald McDonald Children’s Charity or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
