Obituary of Maureen Fuller
Maureen Fuller passed away at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Friday, November 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint John on March 25, 1942 she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Coholan) LeBlanc. In addition to her parents, Maureen was predeceased by the love of her life, Paul Fuller; brother, Tony LeBlanc; her sisters-in-law, Susan and Rose Fuller; brother-in-law, Donnie Stevens.
Maureen was a graduate of St. Vincent High and of the New Brunswick Teachers’ College. She later earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from UNBSJ. Most of her teaching career she taught grade 2 and loved every day being with her “little ones”. Maureen was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and loved to play bridge with her wonderful and loyal friends. She had many lovely trips and one of her favourites was her trip to Hawaii. During her long battle with Alzheimer’s, her family will be forever grateful to the staff of Terrace and Garden Courts. Her family will never forget the love and support of her life-long friend Pauline Taylor.
She is survived by her only son, Matthew (Graciela); brothers, Rev. Michael LeBlanc and Joe LeBlanc; sisters, Mary Anne LeBlanc and Elaine O’Leary; brother-in-law, Fred Fuller; sisters-in-law, Ann Stevens and Bobbi Barrett (Murray). Maureen loved all of her nieces and nephews but she was especially close to Michael and Andrew O’Leary who grew up a few houses down from Maureen and Matthew.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, November 19 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Spirit Parish (St. Rose of Lima), 541 Milford Road, on November 20 at 12 Noon. An interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of New Brunswick or Donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
