He is survived by his children: Ann (Michael) Green, Christine (Dave) Wright, Paula (Rob) Boudreau, Harold (Carrie) Coughlan, David (Heather) Coughlan, Michael (Star) Coughlan; his siblings: Maureen Bonnell, Joe (Joan) Coughlan, Elaine (Larry) Batt, Veronica (Joe) Murphy; his sisters-in-law Kathy (John) Hackett, Janet Daley; his grandchildren: Daniel, Emily, Allison, Samantha, Andersen, Paige, Sophia, Stella, Declan, Amalia, Coral and Vincent. Also, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Harold attended St. Malachy’s High School and was licensed in real estate in 1966, entering the business in the footsteps of his father. He devoted 36 years to volunteering in organized real estate, serving as President of the Saint John Real Estate Board three times, and playing an instrumental role in setting up real estate courses that led to the certification of the Fellowship in the Real Estate Institute (FRI) of Canada. In 2012, he was the recipient of the prestigious Dave Hawkins Award from the NB Real Estate Association. Harold was also a dedicated community volunteer, giving his time to numerous charities. He also was a devoted member of his church community.

Family was everything to Harold. Nothing produced Harold’s wide smile as much as the visits with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his cruises and his special time on PEI.
