Kevin, Michelle, Christopher, Kathleen and Raymond and all the nieces, nephews and grandchildren growing up Wesley was a part of our day everyday because he and Dad worked together for many years. I don't remember him ever losing patience with all those kids (6 of us) all running around and we sure did love seeing him every day. Growing up on the family compound (he,he) on Grove Ave (well we were on the highway) was such a wonderful way to grow up so close to all those Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, cousins it was fantastic, no watching tv for us we always had such wonderful family to play with. It was always a treat to go visit Uncle Jack, Aunt Muriel, Wes and Sandra. I am so sorry you have to say goodbye to such a wonderful man, I am sure he's having a visit with Uncle Bill as we speak.
Love Anita

I have to say that 2 of my fondest memories of my teen / pre-teen years are tied up with Wes and Sandra. One time they went on a little trip to the U.S. , for a little vacation and some shopping. When they came back, they brought me an authentic pair of leather cowboy boots. I was a VERY happy girl ! They were amazing! I wore those boots every day for many years. It was a sad day for me when I had to part with them. To this day, they are the most comfortable things I've ever had on my feet.
Also, I remember one weekend day...when i was maybe 13 or so, they called up and said they had tickets to see the Royal Lipizzan Stallions - and did I want to go with them? DID I ?? I could hardly contain my excitement. Watching those horses perform was just the most thrilling thing and I felt very lucky that they had included me. At one point in the show the owners of the horses brought one out and offered to the Mayor of Saint John that he could have a ride. He declined...but beside me Wes was saying "Debbie will!" Then - elbow to the side "Debbie'd do it!" Then- elbow to the side . "You'd do it, wouldn't you?" He had me ALMOST believing they might offer. HAHA It was definitely an afternoon I'll never forget!
