Obituary of Brenda Jean Nolan
Brenda Jean Nolan, loving partner of Dale Firlotte, of Quispamsis, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 20, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John, NB on March 7, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Arlene (Amero) Nolan.
Brenda will be sadly missed by her children; Trevor Nolan (Andrea) and Travis Nolan; grandson, Ryker; brothers: Roy Nolan (Debbie) and Murray Nolan (Noella); sisters: Ruth Nolan Galloway, Donna Crossman and twin sister Bevrly Nolan Saunders; along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
Brenda started her career at the General hospital and then joined the staff at the Regional hospital in the dietary department where she retired at the age of 55 after 40 years of service. Brenda had a long and fulfilling career where she made many life-long friends. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, music and spending quality time with her family and friends especially her visits with her pride and joy, her grandson Ryker. Christmas was her favourite time of the year and the spirit of giving warmed her heart. Brenda was loving, caring, and will be missed by all.
At Brenda’s request, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation is under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A graveside service will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10:00 am in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish a memorial donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
