To the family of Barbara Ann Archer;
We want to convey sincere condolences upon learning of the passing of your dear Barbara. We knew her best as a cheerful and faithful friend to our aunt Sophy Conley. Barb and Larry would often visit aunt Sophy and uncle Hollis at their home in Hampton. When Hollis passed away in 2003 and Sophy eventually moved into the Snow Centre, Barb remained one of her closest friends and helper. We will always remember Barbs kindness and support. May our God bless you with His peace and comfort knowing that your loss is heaven's gain.
Sincerely, -Innis and Mary McCready

To Barbs family, I am sorry about Barbs passing. I had many loving encounters with Barb, the first being at the old General Hospital, I arrived after visiting's hour, (still very strict in the 1980s) to see a friend that was badly hurt in a car accident. I saw Barb whenI got off the elevator, explained why I was late getting there, she put her arm around my should and quickly whisked me to my friends room, closed the door and whispered 15 mins only. What a kind and loving lady she was . Pam Herrington

33 years ago we moved from Quebec to Hampton, a young family embarking on a new adventure. Lucky us moved next door to Barb & Larry who were the best neighbours and friends over the years. Barb always gave us birthday cards each and every year. We enjoyed her baking given to us on many occasions. We have many fond, funny and memorable memories. Our heartfelt condolences to the family. Brian & Glenda Thorne and family.

Mark and I send our sincere condolences to Barb's family. Always loved our talks when we would meet up. It has been a while since I have seen her. But she always talked about what Steve, Brian and Dianne were up to. She was so very proud of all of you.
She was one very very special lady.

We were so proud to be part of Barb's extended family. When our daughter Kathy married Brian, she gained a loving caring second family. We watched Barb and Larry lovingly add in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren into their fold. It has been a wonderful experience for us to enjoy joint grandparenting duties for three of the Archer grandchildren. Barb's quiet and caring presence will be missed by us all. Our hearts go out to the family in this time of sadness. We are sorry that we can't be present with Barb's family and friends to celebrate her wonderful life. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Love, Joan and Stu

So much love and so many memories .. Our Small group of Fairville Golden Girls gets smaller and smaller and with each passing we who are left feel the great loss of our childhood and the special people that made those years so very precious, and Barb was very special part of my memories. I am so glad that I had an opportunity to visit with Barb this past fall. We had a wonderful visit and reminisced about Fairville and the times we enjoyed together that brought us closer and closer as the years flew by. Rest in peace, Barb. I know God has a very special place for a very deserving lady. MY sincere condolences to the family of a lady I have admired all of my life.

Dear Stephen, Dianne and Brian,
It was just before we went to Florida in February that we dropped in to see your mother and have a chat. We watched the birds at the bird feeder, and she and I reminisced about our mothers who had been such good friends. Having grown up at Lancaster Baptist Church, we shared many of the same church friends. I would have been almost five when Barb started her nurses' training so I didn't know Barb well until I moved to Hampton in 1972. When we arrived in Hampton we knew no one and I was at home with a four-month old baby. The first person to knock on our door was a woman with a big smile and a plate of cookies. Yes, it was Barb. Many times after that, I was the fortunate recipient of cards, telephone calls, and plates of sweets. Dianne, you were one of our first baby-sitters.
I have many fond memories of the "Barb and Larry team" as they spread love and baked goods around our neighbourhood. You three were blessed to have such wonderful parents.
With sympathy in your loss of your mother, a very special person.
