Flora and family. You do not know me but i met Don and Flora while we were all Season Ticket Holders for the Seadogs. We all sat in the same row and got to know each other. I am deeply sadden to hear of his passing. He was a very loving person and truly like to share his knowledge of hockey. Had many great talks with him. Please accept my sympathies on his passing. To Don’s Family,
I met Don in October 1990 when I began working at Centennial School. He was very friendly, personable, and always willing to be helpful. He was a great storyteller with a wry sense of humour. I worked at Centennial School for 7 years and it was a true honour to know him.
Regards,
Leo, Summer, Lyla Coyle

To Murray, Jason and family... I wanted to extend my condolences for your loss but unable to do so in person as we are out of country. It was a pleasure to meet Don at the nursing home and I'm thankful for the opportunities I had to interact with him. Before he was wheel chair bound, I remember he used to love to water the flowers out on the deck. One day he watered them a little too much so staff took away the watering can before he drowned the poor things. That didn't stop him. The next thing you know he is coming out with a styrofoam cup filled with water to finish the job. We all just laughed. He was a very sweet man. Man God fill you with His peace during this time. Sharon Hatfield.

To all Don's family;
It is with great sadness that I write this to you all. Growing up around the racetrack everyone knew Don & what a wonderful man he was. I have so many memories of just talking to him & going to see him while he was getting ready to jog one of his horses. He was never to busy for a chat. His family has lost a great man & the harness racing era here in Saint John has lost another one of there own. Looking back years ago I am so very happy that I held the Old Timers Pace & Don was one man that I had the privilege of spoiling that day. Please know in your hearts that we who knew him will be carrying his memory forever.
RIP Our Dear Friend
