Obituary of Jeanne Marie Mawhinney
It is with great sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of Jeanne Marie (Belding) Mawhinney, which occurred on April 1st, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Chance Harbour December 6th, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William Earl and Ethel Maud (Coy) Belding. Jeanne will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was infinitely gentle and kind.
Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mark E. Mawhinney of Chance Harbour, Matthew A. Mawhinney (Valerie) of Chance Harbour, Ellen J. (Mawhinney) Tiner of Chance Harbour and Glenn L. Mawhinney of Saint John; grandchildren, Amanda Tiner, Thomas Tiner, Sonia Tiner, Caleb Tiner (Erin) and Alexander Mawhinney; great-grandchildren, Braylin, Liam and Nathan; sister-in-law, Myrtle Belding of Saint John and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ervine Arthur Mawhinney; brother, Gerald L. Belding; sister, Doris F. Belding; son, John S. Mawhinney and son-in-law, Gary P. Tiner.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with the family's wishes there will be a memorial and a graveside service at a later date.
