Obituary of Sally Slemin

Slemin, Sally Jane

April 3, 1947 – May 6, 2020

Sally passed away in her sleep at home. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Isabel Appleby.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce, daughters, Rebekah Coffin (David), Emily MacGregor (Josh) and grandchildren, Timothy, Alex and Laura.

She was a graduate of SJHS, Teachers College, UNB, and had a career as an elementary school teacher.

Sally loved to play social bridge, belonged to several bridge clubs, and enjoyed hosting tables of bridge at home. She also belonged to book club, knitting club, gourmet club, Probus, and University Women. Sally was adept at, and delighted in, setting out a banquet for her friends and family to enjoy.

Sally had a lot of energy and was a matriarch organizing events and traditions for her family. She was particularly close to her grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424). A celebration of Sally’s life will be announced when the restrictions are lifted.
