I was shocked to learn of Les' passing. Over the years I often thought of him and thought he may have gone back to Newfoundland.
Les and I were both stationed at RCAF Station Summerside in the mid 1960's. Played on the same baseball teams. Hung around together. Such a great guy. Had lots of fun.
I believe he got married in 1967 as he and his Mrs visited (and stayed with me) in Montreal during Expo 67. It was a great visit.
My condolences to the entire family on Les' passing. May he rest in peace.

Dear Pauline and family - We are sorry to hear of Les' death. We had been planning a trip "Down East"and had hoped to meet up with you. I hope this can still happen when the current virus situation is over. Fond memories of Glovertown. Les was a fine man and without doubt one of the best friends I have ever had. I was just speaking about our singing endeavors and gymnastic tumbling efforts at the school gym. He was one of the best. Best wishes to you and the family.

Pauline, so sad to read of Les' passing. To you , Peter, Jeff and all of the family, my warmest condolences. We had a lot of fun back on Wasson Court. The deck parties, the many Friday nights, clean up days, and even the board meetings. Les had that great Newfoundland sense of humor, which he used not only to entertain, but to handle problems. I will raise a drink in his honor, and in honor of times past. Take care. Love to all of you..

He was truly loved by all the caring staff at the home and had names (even numbers) for each one of them. Yes, the music played during care....but he did say “you don’t sing good”. Known as his “work wife” jokingly and the alpine shared at his bedside will be a great memory. Rest In Peace buddy.
