My condolences to the Watters family on Audrey’s passing. Audrey was a first cousin to my mother, Marie (Dever) McLaughlin and although she and Mum corresponded for many years, my sisters and I only had the pleasure of meeting her in the last few years. My sister Beth had discovered her address and decided we had to meet her after Mum passed away. We had a few delightful visits with her with good intentions of continuing. She was delightful to visit, always gracious and always spoke so fondly of our our mother. She had great stories and we really admired her independent spirit.

Although we did not know Audrey, we have been fortunate to have moved into her house on Mount Pleasant Avenue. We were wonderfully surprised to discover her beauriful garden as the snow melted and things came out in bloom. Gardeners ourselves, we will spend many happy hours continuing her gardening legacy. My sympathy to you on the loss of Audrey. She was a close friend of my sister Muriel Costley-Nugent. They worked together at the School Board Office and always kept in touch. They loved each other dearly and shared so many good times.
I too knew Audrey and visited a few times on Mount Pleasant Avenue. She was always so kind and gracious.
Remembrance in thought and prayer.

I can't remember a time when Audrey wasn't a part of my life. She and my grandfather, Andy, were a constant, and even when I was small, she and I were the best of friends. She had a sly wit that many never suspected, and we had a lot of in-jokes and behind-others'-backs grins. In all the courses she took and the trips she enjoyed, she modelled the spirit of the Mighty Girl long before that became a thing. Love you always, Audrey, and say hello to Andy for us.
